Reviews

Here is a selection of my favourite reviews so far.

Price

The Sony Alpha A7V is now available for preorder with a price tag of 2,999 €.

Once the people’s champion, the camera body for most of us, the Alpha 7 lineup continues to see significant price increases with each subsequent generation.

The world is a very different place to when the A7iii first released both politically and economically, however I can’t help but feel that camera body prices are becoming increasingly unaffordable for many hobbyists and enthusiasts.

ModelLaunch YearEUR €USD $AUD $
A7 III20182,300 €$1,999$3,099
A7 IV20212,799 €$2,499$3,999
A7 V20252,999 €$2,899$4,699
Closing Thoughts

This is a welcomed addition to the Alpha 7 lineup, its improvements are legitimate over its predecessors. I’m looking forward to seeing more long term reviews in the not too distant future.

Given its price tag and more evolutionary than revolutionary updates (it’s not going to make my photos any better), I won’t be planning to upgrade from my A7iii any time soon.

Are you planning to upgrade? I look forward to your thoughts in the comments below.

Until next time,
Alex
